Paving and Drainage Improvements at Dallas Love Field

Pre-bid Conferences will be held at 10:00 am on May 6th and 13th, 2008 in Conference Room “A" at the Dallas Love Field terminal building. A site tour conducted by City staff will follow each pre-bid meeting. Because of extensive FAA security and escort requirements, these tours will be the only opportunity for prospective bidders to visit the site without a badge.

FAA Required Language in Published Advertisement for Bids
It is the policy of the City to ensure that DBE’s, as defined in 49 CFR, Part 26, have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in DOT-assisted contracts. The City’s overall goal for DBE participation, for F/Y 2004-2005, is twenty point zero-six percent (24.3%) of Federal Financial Assistance that the City will expend on DOT-assisted contracts.
Contracts over $10,000
- The proposed contract under and subject to Executive Order 11246 of September 24, 1965, and to the “Equal Opportunity Clause”. The Bidder’s (Proposer’s) attention is called to the “Equal Opportunity Clause” and the “Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications” set forth in the Specifications.
- The Bidder (Proposer) must supply all the information required by the bid or proposal form.
- The successful bidder will be required to submit a Certification of Non-segregated Facilities prior to award of the contract, and to notify prospective sub-contractors of the requirement for such a Certification where the amount of the contract exceeds $10,000. Samples of the Certification and Notice to Subcontractors appear in the Specifications.
- Women will be afforded equal opportunity in all areas of employment. However, the employment of women shall not diminish the standards or requirements for the employment of minorities.
Contracts in Excess of $50,000
For contracts of $50,000 or more, a contractor having fifty or more employees, and his sub-contractors having fifty or more employees and who may be awarded a sub-contractors having fifty or more employees and who may be awarded a sub-contract of $50,000 or more, shall maintain an affirmative action program within one hundred twenty days (120) of the commencement of the contract.
