Sponsorship Outreach
The Mayor’s “Back to School” Fair event team is launching an aggressive effort to identify a corporate sponsor(s) to engage in a long-term, multi-year sponsorship commitment and develop a long-lasting relationship with the Mayor’s office and the City of Dallas.
Each year the Back to School Fair gets larger in scope, more services/health screenings are added and as the Dallas Independent School District’s (DISD) population grows - the need for such free services and school supplies increases dramatically.
Better School Supply Packs Needed
The school supply packs are adequate, but yet these packs will only sustain a student through the second six weeks of the school year. The quality and quantity of products needs to increase to be effective and relevant to the mission. (Sponsors have the opportunity to put company name/logo on school supply packs).
The Dallas Model
The City of Dallas and the event planning team has consistently produced a successful event. The Mayor’s “Back-to-School” Fair plan is a model that has been replicated in other cities (event planning staff has worked with cities of Washington, D.C., Fort Worth, just to name a few of the cities that have used the Dallas model).
