The Office of Senior Affairs assists seniors in the community by collaborating with community organizations to provide information and education on issues regarding senior services, grandparents raising grandchildren, transportation, employment, and victimization and elder abuse prevention.

The Office of Senior Affairs also staffs the Mayor and City Council appointed body, Senior Affairs Commission (SAC). The SAC meets monthly on the third Monday, with the exception of July. The meetings are open to the public.
