Single Family Task Force

Single Family Housing Standards
The City of Dallas currently has building standards for residential structures only in specific areas such as Conservation Districts, Historic Districts, and certain Planned Development Districts.  At the direction of City Council, the City of Dallas has enlisted a Task Force to make recommendations concerning housing standards at a citywide level.  Given the variety of distinctive neighborhoods in Dallas, this issue has a lot of complexity, and this process will seek to ensure the enduring
quality of Dallas' neighborhoods, both old and new alike, while accommodating the varied housing options that are desirable.

The Task Force is  charged with identifying objectives, seeking and balancing broad public input and recommending policy changes.  This website will provide updated information regarding Task Force meetings and discussion, as well as other information relating to this issue.
