Sustainable Development and Construction - The 2011 Dallas Bike Plan

The 2011 Dallas Bike Plan is being created with public input and assistance from expert bicycle planning consultants and three City-sponsored committees. The North Central Texas Council of Governments is providing financial and management resources to help the City of Dallas create this bicycle plan that is intended to be used as a template or model for bicycle planning throughout the region. The Plan will enable the strategic implementation of a consistent and recognizable network of on-street bicycle facilities that will provide better bicycle connectivity to transit, schools, employment centers, and other destinations. Part of the strategy will include linkages of this network to the City’s system of off-street trails represented in the Dallas Trail Network Plan.
